I know everybody had their own experience of having a bad day at work.

Yesterday (2nd December 2011), I can not believe that one of the student nurses who were there just for their placement made me feel as tiny as a dot. Well, I know I’ve actually defended myself and emphasised that I know better than her cos I am one of the staff working there for months now, and that she’s just been there for two weeks. But I am kinda gutted with myself and it still makes me feel as awful as it was when it happened.

Too bad that none of my colleagues were there to witnessed that argument. When I discussed it with our Senior staff, she totally agree with me and that I just actually said the right words to her. She advised me not be bothered anymore cos it was their last day anyway and that I shouldn’t stoop down to their level of UNPROFESSIONALISM.

Yes, I once a student nurse. Back then, I know my place very well and I respect every Staff that I encountered all along. I listen to them cos obviously I am still in the process of learning and someday, I will be in that position as well. Maybe, I was just surprised with the way students act here (London).

And because we are dealing with different races here, I suppose I was just culture shocked cos this was the first time that somebody (who happened to be NOT my colleague at least) spoke to me rudely at my own work place. To think that she’s not even a British native, but still she had the guts to show off her BLOODY TONGUE.

I don’t really wanna be a racist, but they’re the people whose accent I hate most. It’s like they’re eating the words that they’re saying and they have this annoying tone when they speak. There you are, I’ve given the clue. Hope you get it. :p

Lesson learned: Sometimes, I need to be unkind to strangers especially if we are not in the same position. I am very friendly and approachable but now, I need to set a certain limit to people whilst I am at work. I will continue to stand by myself and prove to them that I will not be there if I dont know how to do my job professionally. And next time, I will make it sure that my sentence/speech is long enough consisting of PROPER but with a little twist of INSULTING words blasting back to their bloody face to satisfy my raging needs. (HEY, YOU ARE JUST  A STUDENT WHO STILL KNEW NOTHING BUT TO BRAG SOME S**T HERE SO BACK OFF!!!) 

I’m a FILIPINA and trust me, you wouldn’t wanna know how CLEVER FILIPINOS are! ;)
